Ambassador of Italy Claudio Bisogniero to visit California and Oregon

Bilateral relations, including political, economic and cultural ties, Expo Milan 2015 and the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between the European Union and the United States are the key issues that will be raised by Ambassador of Italy, Claudio Bisogniero, on the occasion of his upcoming mission to California (March, 8-10) and, for the first time ever by an Italian Head of Mission, to Oregon (March, 10-11).

On March 9, Ambassador Bisogniero will meet with Los Angeles Mayor, Eric Garcetti. A visit at the SpaceX facilities, an exchange of ideas with faculty, researchers and students at the University of Southern California (USC), as well as a meeting with Italian and American personalities from the film industry are on the Ambassador’s agenda.

On March 10, the Italian Ambassador will be in Portland, where he will meet with Governor of Oregon, Kate Brown, and Mayor of the City, Charlie Hales. A visit to the Nike plant, a meeting with local Italian Community leaders, and a visit to the Portland Museum of Art – where the exhibition “Italian Style. Fashion since 1945” is currently ongoing – are also on schedule.
