Italian Beautiful Minds share their breakthroughs at IIC 

 An evening dedicated to cutting-edge technological developments and transfer. The event, organized by the Consulate General in cooperation with the Italian Scientists and Scholars of North America Foundation (ISSNAF) and held  at the Italian Cultural Institute, showcased three brilliant startups led by Italian scientists. A novel technology and concept for distributed, ground level air purification was presented by Dr. Giuseppe Spanto, founder of IsTech, a company based in Rome now looking to enter American Markets.
On its part, Asit Engineering, based in OC and co-founded by Dr. Renato Giordano, presented a new in-home, user friendly, portable dialysis machine and a compact .prostate cancer treatment unit. Clinical trials are due to start in July.
Finally, Dr. Paolo Focardi, Co-founder of Advanced Telesensors, presented its new approach to vital signs monitoring and some of its marketable applications and announced the establishment of a cooperation agreement with Asit Engineering, keeping the “Italian networking” on the go.
