Under the direction of Maestro Ermanno Zotti, Artemusica performed Mozart’s Requiem in two performances over the weekend in Southern California: Santa Monica’s Church on Friday, March 15th, and Peter the Apostle Church in Pasadena the following day, Saturday, March 16.
Artemusica was formed in 2011 when a group of non-professional singers came together to share their love of music. Artemusica choir has a classical four-voice structure and their repertoire covers the baroque and romantic periods (18th and 19th centuries), and includes masterpieces by Bach, Handel, Mozart, Beethoven and Vivaldi.
Artemusica choir was joined by four Italian professional singers, soprano Diana Trivellato, mezzosoprano Silvana Benetti, tenor Fabio Buonocore and basso Oliviero Pari, who performed the solo. At the closing of the Santa Monica performance the choir received a heartfelt applause and thanked the public with Handel’s Halleluja.
