On February 26 Consul General Perrone was the guest of honor at a meeting of \u201cLe D.I.V.E. di Los Angeles\u201d (Donne Italiane che Vivono all\u2019Estero) at Marisa Antonini\u2019s residence in the LA neighborhood of Los Feliz. Le Dive is an association of professional Italian women based in Southern California, founded in 2009, whose objective is to promote networking among Italian women in the LA area as well as to cooperate with Italian Institutions in promoting Italian culture.
Introduced by President Lucia Peretti and Vice President Paola De Mari, who offered an overview of Le Dive\u2019s activities, the Consul General thanked for the extremely warm welcome and praised the association for its enthusiastic commitment to upholding Italian values. He went on to underscore the importance of the work done by women associations and highlight the progress recently made by women\u2019s representation in Italian Institutions.
He finally encouraged Le Dive to strengthen their cooperation with the Consulate General, the Italian Cultural Institute and the Italian Trade Commission in pursuing common goals.
