(May 15, 2013)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P>\u201cArcSkills\u201d is an innovative teaching program created by Italian architect Guido Icardi, which El Sereno Middle School has adopted for its 6th graders. The program aims at teaching important skills both in terms of academics (geometry, math, history, language) and of social interaction (cooperation, self-organization, problem solving, leadership). To this end, it uses the reconstruction of classic Roman and Italian architectural structures with special building blocks patented by Mr. Icardi.\u00a0 <BR><BR>Consul General Perrone visited the El Sereno Middle School and Magnet Center accompanied by Massimo Sarti, Deputy Director of the Italian Cultural Institute.
