\u201cThe Great Beauty\u201d by Paolo Sorrentino has made it to the final cut of 5 pictures nominated for Best Foreign Language Film for the 2014 Golden Globes, the annual prestigious ceremony where awards are decided by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Known to be a premonition of sorts for the Oscars, the next Golden Globe Award Ceremony will take place on January 12, 2014. This new development marks yet another important recognition for \u201cThe Great Beauty\u201d, after its impressive reception by public and critics worldwide. At the Golden Globes the film, presented in Los Angeles at the opening of Cinema Italian Style on November 14 and later released in the U.S. by Janus Film and Criterion Collection, is going up against \u201cBlue is the Warmest Color\u201d (France), \u201cThe Hunt\u201d\u00a0 (Denmark), \u201cThe Past\u201d (Iran) and The Wind Rises (Japan).
