Soprano Elisabetta Russo and tenor Gianluca Sciarpelletti performed original\u00a0 pieces composed by Maestro Morricone\u00a0 with lyrics by Paola Lorenzi. The concert opened with the first symphonic\u00a0 arrangement of \u201cLove Theme\u201d written by Morricone for \u201cCinema Paradiso\u201d while\u00a0 the enchanting instrumental piece \u201cEvolution\u201d concluded an evening where the intensity of the performance was matched by the appreciation of an enthusiastic public.<BR>Andrea Morricone follows in his father\u2019s steps: besides directing symphonic orchestras throughout the world, he has written film soundtracks (Love Theme won the BAFTA Award as Best Original Score and the soundtrack of Raul -The right to kill &#8211; conquered the \u201cGlobo d\u2019Oro\u201d\u00a0 awarded by the Foreign Press Association in Italy), as well as music for\u00a0 chamber orchestra, chorale and a wide repertory of instrumental music. <BR><BR><BR><\/P><P align=\"center\"><IMG border=\"0\" alt=\"Andrea Morricone\" src=\"\/resource\/2014\/04\/63710_f_cons57Moriconehalf.JPG\"><BR><BR><\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Maestro Andrea Morricone conducted the Amor symphonic Orchestra in the first American performance of his newest production during a special\u00a0 evening at the New Roads School\u2019s\u00a0 Ann and Jerry Moss theater, in Santa Monica.
