The film is part of the official selection of the European Film Festival organized by the Consulate General of Italy, the Italian Cultural Institute, American Cinematheque and the EU countries Delegation in Los Angeles<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOur Last<\/strong>\u201d, an \u201con the road\u201d movie by the young filmmaker Ludovico Di Martino<\/strong>, will be screened in Los Angeles<\/strong> on May 15<\/strong> during \u201cStarring Europe<\/strong>\u201d, a Film Festival organized by the Consulate General of Italy<\/strong>, in partnership with the Italian Cultural Institute<\/strong>, the American Cinematheque <\/strong>and\u00a0Delegation of the EU\u00a0Countries<\/strong> in Los Angeles and .<\/p>\n

Now in its fourth edition, \u201cStarring Europe<\/strong>\u201d will bring to Hollywood<\/strong>, from May 9 to 15<\/strong>, the best contemporary films from the European Union, and will give to the audience the possibility to interact with filmmakers and actors from the movies to be screened.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur Last\u201d tells the story of a journey which follows two brothers<\/strong> in conflict. When their mother suddenly dies<\/strong>, the two, struck by guilt and remorse, decide to fulfill her last wish to visit Sicily all together, and make their final family vacation an impromptu road trip with her coffin tied to the roof of their car. The experience will uncover all the complexity of their relationship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The film has won several awards: \u201cBest Movie<\/strong>\u201d award at Ferrara Film Festival 2016; \u201cHonor Mention<\/strong>\u201d award at New Jersey Film Festival 2016; \u201cJury Award<\/strong>\u201d at Montelupo Fiorentino International Film Festival 2016; \u201cAudience Award<\/strong>\u201c at Montelupo Fiorentino International Film Festival 2016; \u201cSpecial Jury Mention<\/strong>\u201d at Festival dei Popoli e delle Religioni (Terni Film Festival) 2016; “Best Feature Film<\/strong>” award at Kiwi International Film Festival (New Zealand); “Best Film of the Month<\/strong>” award at the Around Film Festival (Berlin); \u201cBest Film of the Month<\/strong>” award at the Miami Independent Film Festival 2016.<\/p>\n

Ludovico Di Martino<\/strong> and the lead actor Guglielmo Poggi<\/strong>, (\u201cBest Actor\u201d al Milan International Film Festival nel 2016 – Best Acting Performance, Da Vinci\u2019s Horse MIFF Award), will attend the screening at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica followed by a Q&A with the audience.<\/p>\n
