Luis Obispo, Kern, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, Imperial Valley, Orange, the states of Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico.\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">The student office issues Declarations of Value for qualifications obtained at schools and universities in the consular district: Southern California, the counties of S. Luis Obispo, Kern, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, Imperial Valley, Orange, the states of Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>You should submit the documents <u>listed below<\/u> along with one set of photocopies of all documents via <u>Post Mail or FedEx\u00a0 <\/u>(there\u2019s no need to make an appointment)<u>\u00a0 <\/u><\/p>\n<p>1) <strong>Official Letter of the School\/University<\/strong> &#8211; The Principal of the School or the Registrar of the University must provide a signed declaration <u>on letterhead<\/u> to confirm the authenticity of your diploma and transcripts.\u00a0 <strong>Both diploma and transcripts must be attached to the letter.<\/strong>\u00a0 If the courses were online, the Registrar must also declare how many online hours you attended to earn the degree.<\/p>\n<p>Please bear in mind that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><u>All documents must be original (not copies or duplicates)<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><u>The signature of the Principal\/Registrar must be notarized by a Notary Public (not the signature of the applicant)<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong><strong>Apostille<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; The notarized documents must have the Apostille issued by the Secretary of State of the State in which the school is located &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/conslosangeles.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/altri-servizi\/albo-consolare\/secretary-of-state\/\">Secretary of State \u2013 Consolato Generale d&#8217;Italia a Los Angeles (esteri.it)<\/a>. Please do\u00a0<strong>NOT<\/strong>\u00a0detach the apostille from the original documents, as this will invalidate them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/conslosangeles.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/domanda_dichiarazione_dichiarazione_di_valore-Los-Angeles.doc\">Form <\/a><\/strong>to request the declaration of value<\/p>\n<p>3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Translations*<\/strong> of the following documents:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Letter signed by the Principal\/Registrar of the School\/University<\/li>\n<li>Diploma<\/li>\n<li>Transcripts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*There is no need to translate the Apostille or the Notary papers.<\/p>\n<p>4)<strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0AP records or transcripts of the college <\/strong>(when requesting the Declaration of Value for a <strong>High School Diploma<\/strong>) \u2013 please note that\u00a0a United States High School Diploma is <strong>NOT<\/strong> enough to enroll in an Italian University therefore you should also include the <strong>official AP records<\/strong> or <strong>transcripts of college<\/strong> you attended. The Advancement Placement (AP) courses should be also mentioned\u00a0 in the cover letter signed by the Principal of the School.<\/p>\n<p>5)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>A copy of your passport<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>6)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Cover letter<\/strong> listing the following information:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>contact information (email and phone number)<\/li>\n<li>personal information &#8211; please specify the city where you were born, your DOB and your citizenship<\/li>\n<li>US School\/University information:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Is it a public institution or a private one?<\/li>\n<li>Specify by which commission it is accredited<\/li>\n<li>Specify the degree admission requirements<\/li>\n<li>When applying for DV for Master or PhD, please list where and when you obtained your previous degrees the like bachelors\/masters or Italian University degrees<\/li>\n<li>Specify how long it takes to get the degree<\/li>\n<li>If applicable, please specify the title of the thesis (for PHD programs)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>7) <strong>Enrollment letter<\/strong> &#8211; If applying to an Italian School\/University, please include a copy of the enrollment letter or other document supporting your enrollment<\/p>\n<p>8)<strong> FEES if applicable. <\/strong>The Declaration of Value is issued free of charge if you are completing enrollment at an Italian higher education institution that has already accepted you. Proof of admission is required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For job purposes,<\/strong> Declarations of Value are issued upon payment of a fee. You can find the pertaining fees on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/conslosangeles.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/altri-servizi\/albo-consolare\/estratto-tabella-diritti-consolari\/\">Consular Fee Table<\/a>,<\/strong> under art. 66N (primary document) and art. 72 (certification of true translation, per document). Thus, a Declaration of Value that lists one diploma and one set of transcripts will pay art.66N+ 2 x art. 72.
