On the occasion of the 25th edition of the Week of the Italian Language in the World, themed “Italophonia: A Language Beyond Borders,” the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles, invited singer-songwriter TEO BOK to present his project “COME MUSICA – THE POWER OF MUSIC IN EDUCATION” in schools and universities across Southern California.
The project stems from the young artist’s desire to engage American students in listening to Italian music as a powerful tool not only for entertainment but also for education and therapy—capable of inspiring new generations in their personal development and building bridges between people, between generations, and between Italy and the United States.
From October 6 to 7, 2025, TEO BOK held his lecture-concerts at the following schools. Consul Lorenza Errighi delivered her official greetings:
- Palisades Charter High School, Santa Monica
- Hoover High School, Glendale
- Lycée International de Los Angeles, Glendale
- Joseph High School, Lakewood, with the participation of students from the Italian course at San Pedro High School.
In each performance, his voice, artistic talent, and communicative ability to establish an empathetic connection allowed for an immediate rapport with both young and adult audiences, sparking deep emotion and widespread engagement.
The project “COME MUSICA – THE POWER OF MUSIC IN EDUCATION,” which began in Miami and San Francisco, will continue in schools and universities within the consular districts of Houston, Chicago, and Detroit.
