The international exhibit of traditional ceramics from Sciacca opened in Los Angeles on June 13. The project has been realized by the City of Sciacca and the regional government of Sicily, with the support of the European Fund for Regional Development and in cooperation with the Italian Cultural Institute and ICE- Los Angeles. The exhibit features a selection of works by several master ceramists from Sciacca. An official delegation arrived from Sicily for the opening at the Italian Cultural Institute, during which the Consul General underscored the historical importance of Sciacca’s ceramic production and illustrated the poignancy of celebrating Sicily’s artistic heritage in Los Angeles.
