“Destination Italy” was the central theme of a special event promoted by ENIT, the Italian Tourism Board, at the Lecture Hall of the J. P. Getty Museum, in conjunction with the closing of the very successful exhibit “Florence at the Dawn of the Renaissance. Painting and Illumination 1300-1350”.
After the greetings by the Consul General, and remarks by the Getty Museum Assistant Curator Christine Sciacca on the making of the exhibit, ENIT North America Director, Eugenio Magnani, illustrated a captivating video presentation featuring some of Italy’s “hidden jewels”, lesser known attractions waiting to be discovered by ever more demanding tourist crowds. A guided tour of the exhibit, with the Museum curators, concluded the event, organized in cooperation with the Italian Cultural Institute.
