The Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles, with this public notice, intends to proceed with the search for sponsorships for the organization of the 2023 Republic Day.
Characteristics and essential elements of the sponsorship proposals:
Sponsorship proposals must relate to a financial contribution to the organization of the 2023 Republic Day.
The Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles will be able to allow the presence of multiple sponsors to finance the initiative. The sponsorship proposals are not to be considered binding for the sponsée for the purpose of formalizing the contract.
Elements of the sponsorship agreement: Relations between the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles, as sponsée, and the sponsors, will be governed by separate contracts stipulated on the basis of current Italian legislation. The expenses relating to the payment of any taxes, duties or considerations however denominated, envisaged by laws or regulations of national or local law, deriving from the execution of the contract, remain the responsibility of the sponsor.
Data processing is the responsibility of the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles.

Sponsor's commitments: The individuals selected as sponsors will be obligated to pay a financial contribution to the sponsée, to be paid by check or bank transfer.
Sponsor requirements: Sponsors can be public or private bodies, companies and other subjects, in possession of the following requirements:
- absence of prejudice or damage to the image of the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles or its initiatives;
- non-existence of conditions of impossibility to contract with the Public Administration, as well as any other situation considered by the law to be detrimental or restrictive of the contractual capacity (see art. 38 of Legislative Decree no. 163/2006);
- absence of impediments deriving from the submission to anti-mafia precautionary measures;
- non-existence of bankruptcy proceedings;
- not belonging to organizations of a political, trade union, philosophical or religious nature;
Subjects to whom the notice is addressed and configuration of the sponsorship proposals: The subjects to whom the notice to express interest is addressed are public or private bodies, companies and other subjects who intend to promote their image through collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles, contributing to the implementation of the specified initiative.
Sponsorship offers must contain:
1) the economic offer;
2) the name of the legal representative of the sponsor, if a legal person;
3) A self-certification attesting:
• acceptance of the clauses contained in this notice;
• the non-existence of conditions of impossibility to contract with the Public Administration, as well as any other situation considered by the law to be prejudicial or limiting the contractual capacity (see art. 38 of Legislative Decree no. 163/2006);
• the non-existence of impediments deriving from anti-mafia legislation or from submission to preventive measures;
• the absence of bankruptcy proceedings;
• not belonging to organizations of a political, trade union, philosophical or religious nature.
Duration of the notice and examination of the proposals: This notice will remain published until 05/15/2023. The sponsorship offers received will be evaluated by officials of the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles.
On the basis of the offers received, the subjects for the stipulation of the contracts will be identified. In compliance with the principles of economy, effectiveness, impartiality, equal treatment and transparency, the proposals that present the greatest possible funding will be privileged and the proposals in which a prejudice or damage to the image of the Consulate General of Italy may be identified will be excluded.
The sponsorship proposals are not to be considered binding for the sponsee for the purpose of formalizing the contract. In particular, the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles, at its sole discretion, reserves the right not to accept proposals which, due to the nature of the sponsorship or the sponsor's activity, are deemed incompatible with the institutional role of the Consulate General. Furthermore, the sponsee reserves the right to refuse any sponsorship not deemed consistent with the aims of the initiative.
