60th Anniversary of the Signing of the Treaties of Rome

As part of the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaties of Rome (March 25, 1957), founding moment of the European Community, the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles – in parthnership with the Italian Cultural Institute has organized an event which will take place on March 28, 2017, at 6.30 p.m.. The round table will be focused on the validity of the european project, on the enlargement and improvement perspectives of the Economic and Monetary Union and on the main challenges of the Union such as security, immigration policies and economic revival.

The event will be introduced by the Consul General of Italy, Antonio Verde, the speakers will be:

Sinisa Grgic, Consul General of the Republic of Croatia, representing the EU Presidency.

Juli Minoves-Triquell, Former Foreign Minister, and Minister for Cooperation and Culture for the Principality of Andorra. Professor of Political Science at the University of La Verne.

David Andrews, Chair in Contemporary European Studies and Professor of International Relations at Scripps College.

Justin Hughes, Professor of Law at the Law School of the Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
