Italian piano sensation Alessio Bax, made his LACO debut with conductor Hans Graf on November 16 at the Alex Theatre in Glendale and on November 17 at UCLA’s Royce Hall. On both occasions enthusiastic audiences cheered the Italian pianist’s performance. Bax, praised for his ability to create a ravishing listening experience, received the 2009 Avery Fischer Career Grant and the 2013 Andrew Wolf Chamber Music Award. He has appeared as soloist with, among others, the London and Royal Philharmonic orchestras, Dallas and Houston symphonies.
