Italian Spotlight at the Annual Newport Beach Film Festival (April 25-May 2, 2013)

The Annual Newport Beach Film Festival spotlighted Italian cinema with a special night on April 30 featuring the Orange County premiere of the highly acclaimed film, Immature – The Trip (Immaturi – il Viaggio), followed by a festive post-screening party.  The comedic film by Paolo Genovese  follows a group of thirty-somethings on a vacation to Greece for a chance to relax and reconnect. As the former high school friends quickly find themselves tempted by secrets, tequila, and ex-girlfriends it becomes clear they’ve arrived with more baggage than they thought.  The screening was followed by a special party featuring top entertainment, hosted by LA Confidential. Included in the festival was also the screening of the short film “God’s Got His Head in the Clouds” by Italian filmmaker Gianluca Sodaro, with soundtrack’s composed by Angelo Badalamenti.
