GENERAL INFORMATION FOR THE REFUND OF POSTAL BONDS
In order to cash Italian postal bonds, the owner must present the following documents:
- a formal request in Italian addressed to the POSTE ITALIANE (domanda di rimborso alle Poste Italiane);
- a valid I.D.;
- the postal bonds.
If the interested party collecting said bonds is an heir of a person named on the bond, the documents to be presented are the following:
- a formal request in Italian addressed to the POSTE ITALIANE (domanda di rimborso alle Poste Italiane);
- a valid I.D.;
- the postal bonds;
- the death certificate of the person mentioned on the bonds;
- copy of the will translated in Italian.
With the above mentioned documents the interested party (claiming rights) must come to the Italian Consulate with two witnesses for the preparation of the affidavit to establish ones testamentary or inheritance rights.
